Friday, December 16, 2010: Most of us know the story of Kansas City, Missouri own Secret Santa, Larry Stewart who provided anonymous contributions and random donations of cash at Christmas time over a twenty year period. In 2007, Larry Stewart became ill and finally his story was told and everyone had the chance to publically meet Mr. Stewart and thank him for his kindness before his passing.
Since then, members of the Secret Santa Posse have continued this tradition and annually have a Secret Santa Sleigh Ride and travel across the country and provide cash donations to those who are in need. For more information on this organization, please click here for Secret Santa World.
On Thursday, December 16, 2010, Secret Santa and his Elves along with members from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department and Independence Police Department traveled around the metropolitan area handing out $100 bills. This event was covered by the media and you may read those stories by clicking on KMBC Channel 9 News or the KC Star.
