Welcome to IAFF Local 42.  We encourage all members to become a registered member of www.iaff42.org and stay informed of issues that affect your bargaining unit.  As a member you will have full access to the “Members Only” resources area of the website and the ability to manage your own settings.  You will also have the option to add your personal E-mail address to any of the relevant mailing lists in order to receive E-mail on current events.  The website also enables you to sign up for Text Messages by providing your cell phone number and provider.  This will enable us to send important information to you in a very timely manner. 

Complete the form below to register.  You must be a current member in good standing to register with this site.  Once you submit the form, your registration will be verified by the Administrator and your account will be activated.  Please allow 24 to 48 hours for your account to become activated.  It is incumbent upon you to update your personal E-mail address if you switch internet providers.

Please do not use “quotation marks” in your User Name.  If you do, we will not be able to approve your account via our Blackberry PDA Network.  Doing so will require us to be connected to a desktop computer and will increase your registration time considerably. 

If you give a fictitious name, E-mail address or mailing address you will not be approved.  All requests for registration are first verified through our Membership Database or Local’s files.  If you do not have a personal E-mail address please go to one of the many free providers (i.e. hotmail.com, yahoo.com, msn.com, aol.com etc…) and establish an account.  We will not activate an E-mail address with your employer; this is because we often send political communications that may lead to some violation of your employer’s rules and regulations.
