The Missouri State Council of Fire Fighters held its 44th Biennial Convention on June 20th & 21st at the Lodge of the Four Seasons. We are proud to announce that Sherwood Smith was re-elected to another 2 year term as President of the MSCFF. Ken Sturma from Local 73, St. Louis City was elected as Secretary-Treasurer for a 2 year term. Bruce Williams from Local 73 decided not to seek another term as the Secretary-Treasurer. Bruce has served the MSCFF for over 20 years and the delegate body recognized him during this Convention for his dedication to the entire state.
General President Schaitberger attended the Convention and addressed the Delegate body on the morning of June 20th at the start of the convention. 2nd District Vice President Wright was also in attendance at this Convention and swore in the newly elected officers at the conclusion of the two day event.
Several workshops were held for the delegates and President Smith and Legislative Director Mark Woolbright provided a detailed explanation of the legislation that was passed during the past session that had a direct impact on Fire Fighters within the State of Missouri.
Darrell Smith and Staff from MDA were also in attendance and provided encouragement on the part of the delegates to participate in this years "Fill the Boot" campaign.
