Saturday, December 18, 2010: This afternoon a member of the Kansas City, Missouri Fire Department, Firefighter Konsta Myrick was honored by a group of friends and co-workers and the widow of Battalion Chief John Tvedten who passed away eleven years ago today. Firefighter Myrick received the “Tvedten Angel Award”.
A year after the passing of Battalion Chief Tvedten, Kansas City Secret Santa, Larry Stewart, provided a financial gift to Susie Tvedten and that prompted the creation of the Tvedten Angel Award.
