Tribute to KCFD Retiree William Lasiter

May 11, 2011 - Today the Kansas City Star featured a story on Kansas City, Missouri Fire Department Retired Battalion Chief William Lasiter.  Chief Lasiter passed away on April 18, 2011, at the age of 80.  Chief Lasiter was hired on the KCFD in 1955 and promoted to the rank of Fire Captain in 1963, then promoted to Battalion Chief in 1973 and retired in May 1981.  Please take a moment and read the entire story by clicking here
