 Nomination & Election Notice

AGENDA: Nominations for the following Local 42 Executive Board Positions to be held at the October Regular Union Meetings:
 
KCFD Shop:     South of River East (3 year term)
                            Downtown (3 year term)
                            Support Services (3 year term)
                            North of River West (3 year term)
KCFD EMS:      One Paramedic E-Board Member (3 year term)
BELTON:          One E-Board Member (3 year term)
CLAYCOMO:   One E-Board Member (2 year term) to fill remainder of term
JACO PROS:   One E-Board Member (3 year term)
KEARNEY:       One E-Board Member (3 year term)
NORTH KC:     One E-Board Member (1 year term) to fill remainder of term
SMITHVILLE:  One E-Board Member (3 year term)
 
NOMINATIONS: To be held October 5 & 6, 2010, during the Regular Union Meetings and will be conducted by the Election Committee, pursuant to Article III of the Constitution & By-Laws. Any member in good standing, unless otherwise prohibited, shall be able to run for and hold office. At the time of his or her nomination and must be nominated and seconded by members in good standing. Further, an eligible member who is properly nominated and desires his or her name to be placed on the ballot must notify the Election Committee in writing. Such notification must be delivered to Local 42’s Office on or before October 8, 2010 by 9:00 AM. At that time, a candidate’s meeting will be held at the Local 42 office to discuss rules and procedures for the election process. Candidates are allowed to send one proxy if they are not able to attend this meeting. 
 
ELECTION: Elections will be handled by mail-out ballot ONLY with the process to begin on Friday, October 15, 2010.
