Some of you may know Anne Feeney, world renowned political activist, folk singer and song writer. Earlier this year Anne was in Kansas City and played some of her music at the studio of KFKI Radio Station. She has championed many political causes and is an advocate for workers rights and the union movement in North America and around the world.
If you are someone who subscribers to Anne Feeney’s newsletter you will know that she was scheduled to be on tour in Sweden and Ireland this summer. Over the weekend a communication was sent out to all subscribers informing them that Anne had taken ill while in Sweden and she was diagnosed as having a tumor on her lung. Anne could have had surgery in Sweden; however, she decided to come home to Pittsburg to be close to her family and friends and let doctors treat her condition in the USA.
Doctors here at home have confirmed that she has a growth that will require her to have surgery to remove the tumor. Anne has already exhausted her very meager folksinger’s savings, and she is seeking assistance from her network of friends and loyal listeners.
Anne is seeking small donations in the amount of $50 to $100 to assist her with the medical bills and the travel expenses she incurred in having to come home for treatment.
